Plants reproduce in many way. Flowering
Plants reproduce. Ferns mushroom and mould reproduce from tiny seed like structure called sports. Some plants reproduce from their body parts such as leaves, stems and roots .

            STRUCTURE OF A SEED
A seed consists of three main parts- Seed
 Coat, cotyledons or  the embryo.
Seed coat
The outermost covering of the seed is called seed coat . It protects the developing embryo inside the seed. Some seed coats are so hard that water and oxygen cannot get through until the coat breaks down .
Cotyledons
When the seed coat is peeled off gently two seed leaves or cotyledons are seed .
Food is stored in the seedling . Some seeds like gram, pea and bean have two
Cotyledons and are called dicotyledons.
Other like maize , wheat and rice have only one Cotyledon and are called monocotyledons.
Embryo
Embryo is a body plant which is present in between the two seed leaves. An embryo a tiny root called the radical and a tiny shoot called  the plumule
